One week ago I began a sort of self improvement thing. I've decided that I should sort of get my act together since I'll be graduating soon. In the past I've done kicks like this with defined goals and have had varying levels of success. Things like not procrastinating or eating healthier and other goals in that vein.
This is different though. It's more of tidying up little odds and ends in my everyday life. Making sure I floss every single day, less caffeine in my system, keeping my bathroom clean, making my bed, etc. I guess I think that all these little things will add up to me being a more responsible person. I am 22 years old and technically an adult, but there is just a weird feeling about being a college student that makes it seem that this is all just practice. In a way college is being a grown up with training wheels. I want to be in the best shape I can be mentally and emotionally and physically for the "real world".
So far I'm doing okay with all the mini goals. I'm about 70ish days away from graduating and I think that's a good milestone to work towards. We'll see what (if anything) comes if it. Even if it's not a monumental change in my life it'll be okay, little changes are good too!
