Well THAT was a freaking horrendous tech week.
Train wreck techs are so not fun. Especially when you yourself really have no control over them. We also had a pretty rough opening weekend. Yesterday was the crowning moment when not one, but two actors MISSED scenes. Dead serious. Two equity actors just, ya know, didn't go on stage. One just kinda spaced and "thought we had already done the scene" and the other one forgot the scene she was in existed.
At least I like the crew for this show. Actually that truly has been the highlights of these runs for each show. The crew assembled is kinda awesome. Particularly the wardrobe supervisor.... ;-)
Yeah. Phill and I are dating and what have you. He's pretty awesome and he makes me happy and likes football and Pixies and books and we just get along really well. I'm just totally myself with him! He goes off to Orlando Shakes after this and I'll be back to Richmond. I'm not cool with that, but I'm still kinda putting off thinking about that, soooooo yeah.
And that concludes the girly section of this post...
Tomorrow and Wednesday are staged reading days so I'll have all of that rehearsal going on. Woot? I'm really hoping that it'll be low key because I'm still super drained from tech. Thursday is probably going to include a My Fair Lady brush up, which is lame in the extreme.
Oh. And my computer died. Uber-lame!!!!
Indiana has had so many things that I never expected. It hasn't always been the best time in the world, but I'm very, very happy that I came here.
I'm looking forward to a lot of things back in Richmond, but I know I'll miss a lot here too.
