I love e-mail. Really I do. It's convenient, fast, and I personally love it because I can send it out at any time of the day or night without worrying about waking people up or anything of that nature.
Now that being said...
the obvious downside of email is the limiting of emotion being able to be expressed.
For example...
Today I received an email about my production for the upcoming semester. It was an informational email about production assignments and some of the dates for the run. The way some of the information was worded made me feel rather awkward. Honestly I was a little insulted. Information that in a nutshell was "Marley will be the ASM" came across as "Well, Marley is the only person we have so you need to settle for her" .
Now I know that that's not at all what was intended, but it's what came out. I had to reread that email about four times until I understood the content.
Every time I get psyched for this show something happens to dampen my enthusiasm. I don't like that I need to do so much work just to be happy about a show, but it'll be fine. I just need to start on it. Once I'm working on it and have some time and energy invested in it I'll feel ownership of it and everything will be peachy.
Well I'm going to go work on at least a little bit of the work I have due in the next few days.

I don't know if we've ever been close enough for me to actually say this, but... I love you.
You amazed me on "that show with that crazy director that will not be named," and you continue to impress me with your self confidence and assuredness. Never doubt yourself. You're better than having 5 assistants (o wait... I've totally done that)
